Tocqueville Society

Tocqueville Society members make a lasting and profound impact on our work. Through their hands-on leadership and generous financial support, they are directly involved in solving our community’s largest problems: giving everyone a solid financial future, ensuring all children get a great education, providing homes for the homeless, and giving our young people the power to succeed in our ever-changing world.

Women United

Women United is a cohort of strong, committed women leaders who unite to improve the lives of people in our community. Women United provides opportunities for women across the region to collaborate, network, and learn from one another, as well as hosting hands-on volunteer opportunities such as the Community Baby Shower and Purses for a Purpose, which raise funds specifically to help women in need.

Private Equity/Venture Capital Industry

Throughout their 24-year-long partnership with United Way, the PE/VC industry has powered initiatives supporting young children and low-income families through skilled volunteering, fundraising, and community involvement. These include DRIVE, a developmental screening program for young children, providing almost 1,200 hours of hands-on volunteer work, and the Pay for Success initiative to end chronic homelessness.

Real Estate and Building Industry

For a quarter-century, United Way and the Real Estate and Building Industry have worked together to support stable housing programs across Greater Boston. The group helps give homes to the thousands of homeless families in the city, and through the Community Builders group provides younger industry members with access to volunteer opportunities. At the Real Estate and Building Industry Breakfast, members come together to network, fundraise, and learn how their contributions positively affect our community.

The Young Professionals group offers ways for upcoming leaders, young business people, and entrepreneurs to connect and share their experience so they’re even more prepared for the future of their career. The group also opens pathways to mentorship by more experienced professionals, the chance to take part in a number of high-impact volunteer opportunities, and creates for important networking moments that build each Young Professional’s contact list.
