The North Shore AmeriCorps Program

“Over the past several months, I have encountered some of the greatest and most interesting individuals that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They came from all walks of life, each one different than the other, and that is what makes them great.”—Mike Pigatti, Second Year AmeriCorps Member

The North Shore AmeriCorps Program places a group of AmeriCorps members in schools and community based non-profit organizations throughout Lynn and Salem, MA. Their mission: to help reduce the school dropout rate among English Language Learners through tutoring, mentoring, and family support services.

Supported by United Way and additional community partnerships, AmeriCorps works to reduce the barriers to academic success among English Language Learners and their families.
