Anchoring Community Support in Schools

Community Schools are a strategic collaboration with students, families, partners and resources of the school and broader community to produce strong academic and social outcomes for students.
School and community leaders are calling for enhanced coordination of services to meet the needs of students and families. We believe that by bringing together education systems and community partners, we will create meaningful, lasting partnerships that will lead to improved educational and social-emotional wellbeing outcomes for students. We are building deep, trusting relationships with schools and community-based organizations in Boston, Lynn, Salem and other communities to best meet the needs of students and families. The Community School strategy will transform the way schools serve as an anchor of community support to improve outcomes and lead to fundamental shifts in the way schools and their partners are resourced.
