Massachusetts STEM Week 2021
Empower Boston Students to See Themselves in STEM
OCTOBER 16-23
United Way’s BoSTEM, in partnership with Boston Public Schools, the Boston Private Industry Council, the State of Massachusetts and many others, is excited to celebrate Massachusetts STEM Week throughout the city of Boston! Together, we’re boosting the visibility of STEM careers to give all local learners the chance to envision themselves in STEM.
Over the course of the week there will be a variety of ways for educators, students, families and STEM professionals to engage. For a calendar of events, click below.
CalendarSTEM Week Citywide Design Challenge
Thanks to the State of Massachusetts, BoSTEM was awarded a grant to hold a citywide design challenge, focused on students answering the question, “How do we improve the health of our city using science, technology, engineering, art and math?” Students of all ages will go through the design thinking process to identify problems in their communities, research them, prototype solutions, and then advocate for change!
