How did a $30,000 grant become a $3 million effort to help more families in Chelsea work toward financial stability? Almost three years ago, United Way saw the potential and provided a seed grant to get this center off the ground.  What happened next demonstrates the the power of bringing the best partners together to work toward common goals.

Chelsea CONNECT, operating in partnership with United Way and LISC, is helping to guide families and individuals towards financial stability by addressing their educational, employment, financial and housing needs under one roof. The partnerships in Chelsea continue to thrive and leverage even more dollars; last month the City of Chelsea was named one of the Working Cities Challenge grant recipients by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
