Red Nose Day Comes to Boston!

Meet the local homeless teen who helped inspire Matt Lauer’s Red Nose Day ride!

You may have seen some of the recent ads on tv with celebrities like Jon Hamm, Blake Shelton, and Matt Lauer talking about “Red Nose Day” and wondered what it’s all about.

For United Way, it’s about teenager Dylan Pike, from Hull Massachusetts.  Dylan’s family has struggled with homelessness, yet his optimism and resiliency continues to shine through the tough days. Earlier this week, when Matt Lauer kicked off his “Tour de Red Nose” bike ride from Boston to New York, United Way was proud to work with our partners at Quincy Community Action Programs and the TODAY Show to highlight Dylan’s story, raising awareness for Red Nose Day and the many children and families who are living in poverty in neighborhoods across our country.
