NextEra golf tourney raises $31K for United Way
This year’s annual NextEra Energy Seabrook Station Golf Invitational brought in more than $31,000. All proceeds went to United Way of the Greater Seacoast. Held at Abenaqui Country Club in Rye on September 5, the tournament gathered 136 players, participating on 34 teams. It was the event’s 24th year.
“We are so grateful for NextEra’s support,” said Cindy Boyd, Managing Director of United Way of the Greater Seacoast. “Year in and year out they prove why they are one of our most valued community partners. The Golf Invitational is just one of the many great ways NextEra helps our mission of strengthening communities.”
To date the golf tournament has raised more than a half-million dollars for United Way. Event sponsors included BI Energy, GE Energy, and Westinghouse.
