After School and Out of School Time (ASOST) Rebound Grant
ASOST-R funding is part of a two-year grant awarded to United Way of Massachusetts Bay and six other organizations by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).The grants aim to help programs rebound following challenges encountered during the Covid-19 pandemic. Funding is used for a variety of needs, such as workforce compensation, professional development, transportation, supplies and materials, mental health services, enrichment, and more. It supports strengthening the quality of services and expanding access to enrichment opportunities, which will turn, improve educational and social-emotional outcomes of youth. United Way of Massachusetts Bay distributed over $1.4 million in grants to over 30 after-school and out-of-school time (ASOST) programs across the region during Year 1.
