As one of the fastest growing areas in New Hampshire, Greater Rochester offers great potential for regional impact. As United Way corporate partners like Albany International bring economic growth to the area, agency partners like the Rochester Child Care Center, Farmington Children’s Center and The SHARE Fund bolster these communities.
It’s a tandem effort to make Greater Rochester a true destination and United Way is active in playing its role: leveraging your generosity and the gifts of those who live, work and play in the region to create change that lasts. Our work here includes:
- Rochester Child Care Center and Farmington Children’s Center are members of the Seacoast Early Learning Alliance, a group of early learning centers that generate cost-savings and program enhancement.
- The SHARE Fund offers one-on-one coaching, emergency assistance and case management to build financial opportunity for Greater Rochester residents.
- K-Ready Kids supports children in the region with backpacks, books, literacy supplies and parent resources to get pre-K kids ready for kindergarten.
- Volunteers from the K-Ready Readers program share a love of reading in local circle times.
