For hundreds of youth in the Merrimack Valley, United Way provides safe and rewarding summer opportunities.

Every year, the United Way-supported Summer Experiences in Greater Lowell (SEGL) provides a variety of fun and safe summer opportunities for kids. From job experiences to day camps, these adventures ensure that the school off-season is packed with skill-building and social development for kids of all ages. Here are a some of their stories:

A committee of United Way staff and local volunteers award grants to agencies that provide high-quality summer programming. For 2016, United Way awarded $115,000 to 13 community agencies. To date over 30,000 Merrimack Valley youth have plugged into these opportunities–and made their summers memorable.
